Plains Indian Fringed Beaded War Shirt

Plains Indian Fringed Beaded War Shirt - Constructed of genuine animal hide and completely sewn with sinew. Shoulder to shoulder - 24 3/4 inches. Top to bottom - 26 inches. Sleeves - 21 1/2 inches plus fringe.

Fringes are 19 1/2 inches long, 1/4 inch wide. Underarm to underarm - 24 inches wide. Two 2 inch x 30 inch bead bands across shoulders.

Small V panel beads are 14 +/- inches long and 3/8 inches wide. Beads on cuff - 14 1/2 x 3/8 inches.

Shirt neck opening is 26 inches around, shirt pulls over head. The Green dyed V area is like a bib (attached). There is a'bib' both front and back.

I have flipped the'bib' over to show the shirt under the bib. The last photo shows a repair.......... This item came from a Virginia collection and it is most likely 35 or more years old. Excellent condition, is not a cheaply made tourist item.
