He earned his name "Nomkahpa" meaning "knocks two off" in a battle with the Jutes, when he knocked two of them of their horses, with a single blow of his war club. The paintings are in very good condition. It has a small tear on the right hand corner, that can hardly be seen.

It shows the name Two Strike Sioux on the right hand bottom. This sale includes a painting of a young Native American woman also painted on tree bark.
