Up for sale are these two unique original Native American paintings, painted on tree bark. He was a prominant Chief of the Lakota tribe, born in the White River Valley in present day Nebraska. He earned his name "Nomkahpa" meaning "knocks two off" in a battle with the Jutes, when he knocked two of them of their horses, with a single blow of his war club. The paintings are in very good condition. It has a small tear on the right hand corner, that can hardly be seen.

It shows the name Two Strike Sioux on the right hand bottom. This sale includes a painting of a young Native American woman also painted on tree bark. There is no name on that painting, but it might have been his wife as it was bought as one set.

The last picture shows the paintings framed under glass. The size without frame is 8" X 10" and with the frame 11.5" X 13.5". I will be glad to answer any question you might have....
