Here is an incredible tooled leather photo album from 1954 featuring a large Native American Indian Chief on the front with full headdress and numerous colored feathers, beadwork, etc. Probably made in the Western United States by a leather artisan who works with saddles, gun leather, tack, etc. Album was never used and is completely blank with beautiful parchment paper dividers between each sheet to protect the photographs' surfaces from sticking to the paper. Large in size, the album measures 14 x 20.5 x 2 thick.
There are heavy duty brass tacks that the album sits upon to protect the surface of the leather. Leather is in great condition, the strap that holds the binding together has a break at one point but could be repaired. Otherwise there are no issues.
