ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 11 1/2 FOLK ART CARVED & PAINTED WOOD INDIAN CHIEF on HORSE
Presenting an Antique, painted, and carved Native American Chief, on horseback. This artistic (End of the Trail) primitive, Folk Art carving, features a one piece carving of a Native American Chief, on a white horse, with a black mane, and tail. He has a carved detailed headdress, and has an applied spear in his hand. He sits on an orange saddle. It is carved from a solid piece of wood, and is pegged on the green wood base. There is a little nail on the nose of the horse, that probably held a leather bridal. He measures approximately 11 1/2" high, x, 2 3/4" 11 7/8 wide. The base measures 7" long, by just short of 3". Weight is 247.4 grams. The paint is original, with crackling, and a beautiful aged patina. Part of my personal large Native American collection.
