


BEAUTIFUL NATIVE AMERICAN GATHERING BASKET. LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY. About 7 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" diameter. Wonderful Native American hand made gathering / burden basket. Inverted cone shape, with open rim, reinforced with braided edging.
Tight twining on the body. Probably willow, with darker dyed decorative bands. Used for gathering and transporting various materials, such as kindling, acorns, seeds, roots, etc. Rich, dark age patina (all visible in the images). A RARE AND EARLY NATIVE AMERICAN BASKET IN NEAR-MINT CONDITION!
